Definition
The Hobbit is a fantasy novel of the philologist and writer John Ronald Reuel Tolkien. It was written by parties from late 1920 to early 1930.
Due to the success and the good reviews it received, the editors asked a follow Tolkien.
Dubbed The Lord of the Rings, written in stages between 1937 and 1949, was first published in the UK between 1954 and 1955 in three volumes.
His tone change caused child away from The Hobbit had to be modified slightly so that both stories coincide better.
The story is set in the Third Age of Middle-earth, a fictional place inhabited by men and other races anthropomorphic as hobbits, elves and dwarves, as well as many other creatures real and fantastic.
Luis Bermejo and Nicola Cuti adapted in 1979 part of the great work of J. R. R. Tolkien, and Charles Dixon and David Wenzel (1989) the story that precedes it.

In 1989 the publisher Eclipse Comics published a graphic novel of The Hobbit written by Charles "Chuck" Dixon and Sean Deming and illustrated by David Wenzel.
It was divided into three volumes, ending the first frame of the time Bilbo Gollum poses riddles game and the second when the company escapes the Black Forest elves.
Lorenzo Diaz was responsible for the Spanish translation, published in 1991 by Norma Editorial and reissued in 2001 due to increased sales of Tolkien's books produced by the premiere of the film trilogy.
Synopsis
The story begins one day in the hobbit Bilbo Baggins, a resident of the district, receives the unexpected visit of the wizard Gandalf and a company of thirteen dwarves led by Thorin Oakenshield, and composed by Balin, Gloin, Bifur, Bofur , Bombur, Dwalin, Ori, Dori, Nori, Oin, Kili and Fili.
Dwarves need another member in the group to carry out his plan: reach Erebor, defeat the dragon Smaug and reclaim the kingdom and treasure.
Gandalf had recommended for this mission and thus Bilbo the hobbit gets involved in the adventure ...

Between 1979 and 1981, Luis Bermejo and Nicola Cuti published an adaptation of The Lord of the Rings in three volumes for Comic Toutain Editor.
The novel traces the journey of the main character, the hobbit Frodo Baggins to destroy the One Ring and the ensuing war that will cause the enemy to recover, as it is the main source of power of its creator, the Dark Lord Sauron.
